This charcoal drawing is a play on Edward Hopper's "Nighthawks"(1942). It is set in the future with an extraterrestrial standing at the counter and food replicators on the far side. The small maneki neko figure on the bar holds a medallion with the character for "light". The large angelic neko in the window holds a tablet reading "heavenly blessing". I am portrayed as the counter attendant. (2007)
