F-101B Voodoo

The McDonnell F-101B Voodoo, an interceptor from the 1950's era.

This project is a showcase for the aircraft of the Aerospace Museum of California, established in 2005. This was a transformation of an older aviation museum started in 1986 to display the mission of the former McClellan Air Force Base which was decommissioned in 2001. Since aviation is a constant hobby of mine, I take a lot of aircraft pictures. As museum planes are stationary, I can get much better pictures of these than of moving ones, up close and personal. I use it as a memorial tribute to my father and stepfather who served in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army respectively (Today, many may not realize that the Army is the parent organization of the Air Force which became a new and separate service in 1947.).

I have a dark blue for the text on a light gray background. The links are charcoal gray. The enclosing borders are also the same dark blue. I am considering the placement of some maroon highlight bars.

Buttons for "Assignments","Home","Gallery", and "Contact" pages are planned. The 2 page gallery will have popup pages for pictures of the aircraft. The contact page will direct people to the official museum site or to me as the web page author.
